Should refugees get only 10 days, not 30, to respond to status termination?

On Oct. 14 DHS and USCIS cut the time refugees have to respond to a notice of intent to end their refugee status from 30 days to 10. On Oct. 27 U.S. District Judge Julia Kobick in Massachusetts temporarily paused the rule through Nov. 6 while the court weighs a longer stay. DHS says the rule protects security and prevents fraud; refugee groups that sued say it denies a meaningful chance to respond.
