About Yea Or Nay Voting
Our mission
Yea Or Nay Voting connects taxpayers directly to what they need their government to do for them. You post it, your neighbors vote Yea or Nay, and the results are on the record for everyone to see.
Roads that need fixing, schools that need work, problems your town has talked about for years: post them here. Members vote Yea or Nay every week, not just every two or four years, and the top priorities rise in each tier: local, state and federal. Alongside them, we keep a clear glass window into U.S. politics: the news, the decisions and, over time, a record of when officials act with or against the communities they serve. Every voice counts, and every vote is counted.
Two halves, one site
Community needs, decided by the community. Residents post what their town, state or country needs. After review, members vote Yea or Nay, and the top needs rise to the top of each tier. Local, state and federal needs are ranked separately, so a pothole on Main Street never competes with national policy.
A clear glass window. Headlines from across the U.S., the community's results, and, as we grow, official track records and a sourced accountability record.
How it works
1. Sign up. It's free.
2. Post a need or browse needs near you.
3. Vote Yea or Nay, once per need.
4. Watch the results, and share them.
What we are not
We're not a party, a campaign or a PAC. We don't endorse candidates. Results show what our members think. They are not a scientific poll.
FAQ
Who can vote? Anyone with a free member account can vote on any need, one vote per member per need. As we grow, members will confirm their home address so town and state votes come from residents. Federal votes stay open to every member.
Is my vote public? No. Only totals are shown.
Do you track my location? If you allow it, your browser's location is used only to show needs for your state. You can always pick your state yourself instead.
Why was my need not posted? Every need is reviewed. It must be specific, civil, in the right tier, and about a need, not a person. See the rules on the Submit a Need page.
Does a winning need automatically get done? Not yet. We make community priorities visible and put them on the record for the officials responsible. Turning results into action is the next step we're building.
